Nevada's Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) requires the state’s sole utility, NV energy, to obtain 50% of their energy from renewable sources by 2030, with 6% of that coming from solar energy. NV Energy provides incentives directly to customers in exchange for their RECs, meaning there is not a viable open SREC market in the state.
