The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission (PUC) created the basis for an SREC market in New Hampshire beginning in 2010. The Electric Renewable Portfolio Standard Act specifies that Load Serving Entities (LSEs) must create 0.07% of their total power through solar generation installed after 2005 (referred to as Class II), or buy an equivalent amount of SRECs to compensate.

Additionally, systems located in New Hampshire are eligible to participate in Massachusetts’s Class I REC market.
